ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Benelux will be responsible for developing, implementing and driving the Benelux LEX engagement required to successfully promote the Benelux external affairs agenda with the relevant media and stakeholders across the Benelux market(s).
Furthermore, the Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs will be responsible for delivering and managing the Company's CSR agenda, where appropriate as an integral part of the campaign plans.

The Benelux organization is comprised of 3 markets, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxemburg. Benelux functions are responsible for delivery across the whole business. The need for strong collaboration and team working across the geographies and stakeholder management is critical.

Local authorities and regulators, Local market media representatives, Local market industry associations, Consultants/Advisors, Academic world, Other FMCG, NGO's
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop, implement and drive the engagement plans required to successfully promote BAT Benelux's Corporate Affairs agenda
- Deliver and manage the CSR agenda, in support of the Benelux regulatory affairs agenda
- Building and sustaining a relevant media network in the whole of BENELUX
- Build and develop new stakeholder networks (advisors, academic, NGO, FMCG), supplementing and strengthening existing networks.
- Manage the press and spokes person function in the Benelux market(s)
- Work as member of the Leadership Team in close relationship with the local Managers
- Work in close relationship with senior managers of EU Rep Office in Brussels for continuous refinement of campaign plans and network development.
- Edit and maintain the Benelux Corporate website
- Developer and custodian of relevant and consistent corporate messaging and the corporate behaviour, including any public media and social media networks (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Benelux Corporate Website)
- Develop and build new media and other communication channels across BENELUX, (e.g. to complement existing VSK newsroom).
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- University Degree or similar level gained through experience.
- Minimum of 79 years' experience in corporate communication / public relations
- A background in or affinity with journalism is considered a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver successful campaign plans in a complex environment.
- Sound understanding of business and politics at strategic and tactical level.
- Ability to balance contradictory interests and find winwin solutions in adversary environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the drive to mobilise people.
- Highly valued and respected team player
- Excellent Flemish and English language skills. Basic French language skills as minimumHandson, pragmatic

- Benelux LEX campaign plans achieve the set goals, resulting in demonstrable promotion of the Corporate Affairs agenda.
- On time in full delivery of CSR agenda as part of the strategy,

- Media network and new communication channels delivered and integrated into campaign planning and execution.
- Visible leadership of communications excellence across the end market
