The company delivers accelerated discovery services and process development/optimization to rapidly reach GMP clinical and commercial production of viral vectors and nucleic acids.

MISSION


The
Business Development Manager will report to the Head of Business Development and will be responsible for supporting business development for transversal group opportunities (that involve more than one affiliate) and for advancing sales leads associated with the offering branded as Univercells SA (parent company).


This role will work closely with Marketing and Account Management to help identify, assess and advance revenue-generating and/or value-creating opportunities for Univercells that are relevant to either multiple affiliates (transversal sales) or associated with Univercells' offering (e.g.

vaccine development support services), with a specific focus on international global health and public sector stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a BD Manager, you will be actively contributing to:

  • Prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals from initial contact through signed agreements, in a consultative selling process
  • Perform lead generation, interact with potential customers to define project requirements to feed the sales process with qualified prospects
  • Identify and qualify new sales leads as well as developing innovative and financially viable business opportunities from inception to close, alongside building of financial cases and drafting of business plans
  • Advance complex deals and identifies new opportunities that align with the strategy, driving revenue growth
  • Structure and negotiate agreements with partners, conduct due diligence, formulate partnership strategies, and present recommendations to the management team, as well as manage transactional and execution steps to close the agreement
  • Clearly document each client acquisition stages, update client database and followup of commercial KPIs
  • Perform market intelligence and market analysis, evaluating and prioritizing market opportunities, defining pricing strategy and value proposition to build a strong product portfolio
  • Align with strategy and technical teams across Univercells, leveraging on new business opportunities to continuously adapt the marketing strategy
  • Regularly network and develop relationships with prospective Global Health stakeholders (public and private) while evaluating opportunities and fittopurpose business development
  • Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
  • Represent our company at international congresses or events

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Business or in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Bioscience
- or Biomedical Engineering.

  • Additional business degree or MBA is a plus
  • At least 35 years of professional experience with proven track record in a pharmaceutical/b
