Duties:

The European Logistics Support Office is located in the port of Antwerp: Noorderlaan 147.


The incumbent is one of the coordinators for the International Through Government Bill of Lading (ITBGL) program, the primary process for moving Household Effects (HHE), Unaccompanied Baggage (UAB) and Privately Owned Vehicles (POVs).

Answers complex questions about entitlements, storage and the ITGBL process. Calculates overweight and cost construct shipments to ensure the owner reimburses the USG. Communicates effectively in writing to address customer concerns, document key decision points and resolve problems at lowest level.


Monitors progress of each move on a daily basis by running several reports regarding missing TAs, failed acts, overdue moves to evaluate the carrier's service.

Updates status of move to close out the record in the ILMS system.

Qualifications and Evaluations:

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum one year of experience in shipping and transportation.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Must quickly acquire general proficiency knowing Department of State transportation entitlements and regulations in 14 FAM. General knowledge of ITGBL process, procedures, and concepts of the program. General knowledge of regulations for proper preparation of documentation for shipments of personal and official U.S. Government property and host country customs clearance regulations. Proficient knowledge of using ILMS as a transportation management tool.

Completion of secondary school required.

LANGUAGE:
Fluency in Dutch. Good working knowledge in English. This may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must be detail oriented and have organizational skills to coordinate ITGBL shipments and utilize ILMS that gives status visibility to customers and performance metrics to senior management.

Must be able to clearly articulate information to customers, vendors, and colleagues in person or by written correspondence.
