ABOUT THE ROLE


As our Medior Accountant, you are responsible for managing the accounting function: you make sure the company's financial information is accurate, while constantly improving how things are done.

You'll be part of the Finance team, reporting directly to the CFO.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be a key member of the Finance team in a pivotal moment of the company's development

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

  • You perform operational accounting work (e.g. process approved invoices into accounting entries, prepare cost splits according to analytical accounting standards, process bank transactions, perform payment reconciliation)
  • You coordinate and interact with internal stakeholders and external partners (employees & managers, clients, suppliers, our fiduciary and auditor)
  • You manage the accounting closing flows and deliver qualitative and timely interim financial statements, quarterly and annual closing accounts & reporting
  • You support tax declarations and external audits
  • You assure that our accounting practices adhere to regulations, in collaboration with our fiduciary
  • You provide accurate and qualitative financial data to the CFO for a.o. reporting purposes
  • You constantly explore, analyse and optimise the accounting playbook, work methods, audit processes, use of tools and create supporting documentation

THE PERFECT MATCH

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Min. 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the financial department of a commercial company, at an accounting firm or in an equivalent position
  • Experience in financial closing processes, general & analytical accounting, accrual accounting, etc.
  • Technical accounting acumen and a good affinity with technology (i.e. accounting & financial software)
  • Good knowledge of the Belgian professional and regulatory standards governing the activities of accountants
  • Analytical, eye for detail and quality: only correct & precise numbers satisfy you at the end of the day
  • You are naturally seeking for continuous improvement and have a proactive mindset: we expect you to take the initiative and be handson
  • As a team player you like to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and have good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Curious, eager to learn and grow professionally
  • Full professional proficiency in English and French
