As a Benelux Procurement Team we want to be the partner that supports and rolls out new initiatives that add strategic value to the business, with a continuous improvement mindset, whilst improving sustainability, ensuring supply and maintaining compliance.
In this hybrid function you will have the following responsibilities:
The SB/BP will develop procurement strategies on a specific business scope.
He/she will work in the market, ensuring good information flow between the procurement support teams, local sourcing teams and the Above Market category teams.
He/she has to ensure the development, management and prioritization of procurement activities servicing the Business Units & Functions at market level to oversee effective delivery against the corresponding business strategies as they appear at market level.
He/she will understand the local market business goals as well as present & clearly articulate them to category leadership and help shape strategic and flexible scenario planning.
You will take on the challenge at the Benelux Procurement Department:
A significant part of Nestlé's value chain is developed with or dependent on Nestlé's suppliers.
The ability to do this at the highest added value levels, at the lowest cost and working capital impact, while delivering on our responsible sourcing commitments, is crucial for Nestlé's competitiveness.
As the SB/BP this is your objective:
You will be working closely with your internal stakeholders, Nestrade (Global Procurement) buyers and team to:
- Help the company achieve sustainable growth and ensure responsibly sourced supply and value creation;
- Develop & implement sourcing strategies;
- Source, contract and manage the supplier portfolio;
- Manage supplier performance & claims;
- Ensure compliance with the Nestlé Procurement Policy;
- Achieve Responsible Sourcing commitments;
- Minimize cost & working capital;
As SB/BP you will be working in the Benelux Procurement team that consists of 12 people who are working hybrid-remote from the area's Amstelveen, Nunspeet & Brussels.
Your main working location can be either Amstelveen or Brussels, but regular travel (on average once a month) will be required including flexibility for team and other key meetings.
This is a hybrid position hours a week.This function is focusing on the Logistics domain, but you are expected to be open to switch between spend categories and strategic business unit partner roles if that suites the business need in the future.

What we are looking for in our SB/BP:
- A master's degree
- A minimum of 23 years of demonstrated success in a tactical/strategic (procurement) role;
- A passion for FMCG;
- Strong stakeholdermanagement, well developed communications skills & cultural savvy;
- Bridge builder: able to build relationships amongst people and disciplines, connect them;
- Demonstrated skills of natural entrepreneurial spirit and agility to adapt to a dynamic environment;
- Analytical, structured and strong problemsolving skills;
- Fluent English written and spoken (Dutch and/or French is considered extra).
