For one of our main clients based in Brussels - an European Institution, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with a strong software development background divisionto join our team in the area of grants, experts and procurement management. You will be responsible of the eAwarding component which does not have user interface and acts like a bridge between Pre-Award and Post-Award. This component retrieves information from other components via web services or rest services and generates documents, notifications and provides winner information to Post-Award. Occasionally, you may need to assist on eSubmission component where we have a user interface.
The position is hybrid based in Belgium where the office presence is need once a week.
More specifically, you will be responsible for...
• Working with business stakeholders to elicit requirements and capture business needs;
• Creating user stories and acceptance criteria (Atlassian Jira);
• Interacting and validating requirements with the business;
• Proposing solutions by combining IT tools and business process refactoring or improvements based on an in-depth understanding of a specific business domain;
• Creating, maintaining, prioritizing and sequencing the product backlog based on business value or return of investment.
• Participating in project planning, daily stand-up meetings (SCRUM);
• Participating to retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings;
• Reviewing deliverable and demonstrable product version/software functionalities after every sprint;
• Developing and maintaining standards for testing;
• Contributing at the resolution of production incidents;
• Closely working with other teams and being able to identify and communicate dependencies;
• Assisting the developers/testers whenever needed;
Are you the perfect match?
• BSc/MSc degree;
• Minimum 8 years of BA experience of large organisation administrative business processes;
• Advanced experience with BPMN;
• Experience with Jira & Confluence;
• Advanced experience in modelling (UML);
• Experience with Gliffy, Balsamiq (designing mockups);
• Experience with Wiki and collaborative sites;
• Good knowledge of HR domain and processes.
