Plein Publiek BXL is located in the beautiful Palais de la Dynastie on Mont des Arts in Brussels, right above the central station. Palais de la Dynastie is a monument that was used by the king and his guests. Since March 2019 we have hosted all kinds of events, ranging from corporate events to nightlife,from live concerts to vintage markets, salsa dance nights, workshops,fashion shows and so much more We offer 4 different spaces for events. First, we have our signature greenhouse where our contemporary bar and our restaurant are located. Then, there's the balcony that oversees the greenhouse and the impressive architecture of the Palais de la Dynastie. The outside terrace has an amazing view on Mont des Arts and gets the best sunlight all day long. And finally, we have our unique 360° room where immersive theater organizes the infamous cocktail experiences.

We are looking for a skilled Waiter/Waitress to take orders and deliver food and beverages to our guests. The right Waiter/Waitress uplifts the experience for our guests with patience, personality and perseverance. We are not your typical restaurant or café. We are a multi-cultural and vibrant place in full development. Where family, jokes, fun and positivity are part of our identity.


Your responsibilities include setting up service, greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill, executing side tasks, maintaining the venue, and assisting inhouse training,.


If you are able to perform well in fast-paced environments with a lot of variation, we'd like to meet you.

To be successful, you should be polite with our guests and make sure they enjoy their visit, be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with our kitchen team (in french) to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.

Ultimately, it is your duty to provide an excellent overall experience for our guests.

Profiel:

  • Well spoken in English, French and Dutch.
  • Happy and fun personality
  • Lots of energy
  • Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress
  • Handson experience with cash register and ordering information system (e.g. Trivec, formitable,)
  • Basic math skills
  • Attentiveness and patience for customers
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fastpaced environment
  • Active listening and effective communication skills
  • Team spirit
  • Flexibility
  • University degree or food safety training is a plus
  • Office basic knowledge (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Natural leadership skills
  • Upsell skills
  • Interested or experience in training others

We are looking for multiple colleagues. So the schedule can be adapted. We have the option for day and evening service.
