You will join the Socio-Economic Impacts division of Ramboll Management Consulting in Belgium

Based in Brussels, our multidisciplinary team works primarily for the European Institutions and other public sector actors across a variety of public policy domains including employment, migration and integration, justice, education and culture, customs and taxation, transport etc.

As public policy consultants, we support evidence-based policy making by providing research and analysis, evaluations and impact assessments, stakeholder engagement and process facilitation across these policy areas.


Your responsibilities as a starting point for growth


Analysts joining our team will have the opportunity to work directly with clients to drive public policy change while developing their expertise and consulting skills.


Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Working on projects contributing to EU policy making, such as evaluations, impact assessments, policy studies, comparative studies and benchmarking, social and economic cost and benefit analyses, feasibility studies, stakeholder consultations
  • Working across a range of public policy areas, including employment, migration and integration, justice, education and culture, customs and taxation, transport etc.
  • Conducting desk research, interviews, surveys
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis and data processing
  • Writing reports and drafting presentations for our clients
  • Undertaking administrative tasks

For this role, we believe your starting point is:

  • You have a bachelor's degree and are either in the final stages of, or have completed, a master's degree, preferably in Public Policy, European Studies, Political Science, Law, Economics, Social Sciences, where you are/were among the top students.
  • You have knowledge of and an interest in public policy and the EU.
  • You have experience in and enjoy drafting coherent analytical texts based on a wide range of qualitative and quantitative sources.
  • You are analytical, structured and good at handling many tasks at the same time.
  • You are wellorganised and able to internalise substantial amounts of (new) materials.
  • You have excellent command of English, both written and oral, and ideally fluency in at least one more EU language.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis and/or evaluation methodology, either from your studies or from a student job

How to apply


The opportunity we offer is an internship through the Belgian CIP (professional induction programme) and has a duration of 6 months, with the possibility to extend this period by a further 6 months depending on performance.

The internship period is from 1st of April 2023 to 30th September /- 1-month flexibility). It will be remunerated at 1,100 EUR net per month and will include normal social security contributions and holidays. The working language is English.
