For the receiving terminal in Belgium & France, Gassco is currently looking for an IT Technician.

Job description:

As IT Technician, you are the single point of contact for all internal IT services of the Dunkirk Terminal (DT) and Zeebrugge Terminal (ZT).

Your main responsibility is ensuring a continuous and smoothly running internal IT service.

A brief summary of the main tasks of this role:

• You are responsible for the setup and maintenance of the existing and new hardware and software requirements for Gassco;
• You guide new users through our systems and you ensure they have the right accesses;
• You are responsible for a correct and accurate Gassco access card creation, always keeping in mind the correct safety policies;
• You provide general IT support to your colleagues, both in hardware and software topics:
• You perform local and/or remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions;
• You determine the best solution according to the problem and the details provided by your colleagues;
• You accompany your colleagues throughout the solving process;
• You train and guide your colleagues as a superuser of different IT systems and you share proactively tips and tricks and raise awareness on IT security and other relevant topics;
• You ensure timely and correct software updates.
• You record all IT related incidents and problems, as well as their solution, in a register;
• You are continuously looking for process improvements and ensure the IT equipment runs smoothly and with optimal results;
• You are involved in several IT projects, such as IT compliance, guiding and accompanying external contractors ;
• You work preferably three days a week in Zeebrugge and two days a week in Dunkirk, depending on the actual needs;
• You report to the Finance Manager.

Profile:

• You have at least a Bachelor's degree in an IT or technical related education;
• You are able to work independently and own your agenda. You have a level of selfmotivation;
• You have knowledge and/or experience in installing technical equipment, such as work station, laptop, printers ;
• You preferably have knowledge of Windows 365, SAP and Active Directory;
• You have a good knowledge of IT technology (operating systems, servers and networks);
• You have a first experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role, such as Helpdesk Support;
• You are very (internal) customer oriented;
• You are open for continuous learning;
• You have a high level of initiative, flexibility and ability to work in a team;
• You are fluently in English and you have a good knowledge of French, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
