CAR-T therapy revolutionizes treatment by harnessing the patient's own immune system. Genetically modified T-cells effectively target and destroy cancer cells, offering new hope to patients for whom conventional treatments have been ineffective.


Janssen Biotech, Inc. has joined forces with Legend Biotech to advance ciltacabtagene autoleucel (cilta-cel), a groundbreaking immunotherapy for multiple myeloma. This collaboration aims to push the boundaries of cancer treatment.


To bolster our CAR-T program in EMEA, Janssen is establishing two cutting-edge manufacturing centers in Ghent, Belgium.


Roles & Responsibilities:

The Cell Processing Manager plays a pivotal role in the Operations Leadership Team, overseeing Operations, Quality, and Tech Transfer. Based in Ghent at our innovative facilities, this role involves:

  • Leading Operations at one of the CAR-T Manufacturing sites and driving continuous improvement.
  • Providing expertise in CAR-T and Aseptic Manufacturing, ensuring robust operational documentation and thorough training.
  • Facilitating seamless knowledge transfer across functions and sites, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Identifying risks and opportunities and spearheading initiatives for process enhancement.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and cGMP regulations, preparing for audits and inspections.
  • Building a strong partnership with Legend Biotech and establishing effective governance for operational performance monitoring.
  • Mentoring team members to foster their growth and success.

Qualifications:

Experience
Minimum years of relevant work experience.

Qualification & Skills:
  • Master's degree in a scientific or technical field (Engineering, Bioscience, Pharmacy, etc.).
  • Patient-centric approach and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Expertise in aseptic manufacturing and detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize, communicate effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Capacity to integrate operational responsibilities with other requirements for a holistic approach.
