Heidelberg Materials Belgium is currently looking for a

Senior Tax Specialist
to join the team at our headquarters located in
Braine-l'alleud.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

  • Contribute to ensuring that all tax activities are fulfilled in compliance with local regulations, internal manuals, and group requirements.
  • Participate in optimizing local tax activities, payments, and internal reporting, focusing on tax management and optimization.
  • Prepare and coordinate the yearly tax returns and CIT forms for Belgian legal entities in collaboration with an external service provider, ensuring compliance.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and submit the TP requirements for Belgian legal entities in collaboration with an external service provider.
  • Provide support during the quarterly tax accounting process and closing, including the management of prepayments, in collaboration with General Ledger, ensuring highquality group and statutory reporting of Belgian financial data.
  • Participate in complying with Group requests (CFC, Globe, accounts, etc.) in collaboration with General Ledger.
  • Provide tax information to Belgian tax authorities in case of CIT or TP audits.
  • Coordinate ongoing tax projects.
  • Keep the tax database, tax processes, and internal manuals updated.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the tax department for internal and external stakeholders in the fields of CIT and TP.
  • Organize tax training and regular tax updates with the Tax Manager Belgium.

Your profile:

  • You hold a Master's degree in business/economics, finance, accounting, or any other related field (specifically accounting or tax). Specialization in tax law is a plus.
  • You have a minimum of 35 years of experience.
  • You are fluent in French, Dutch, and English.
  • You excel in verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have strong knowledge in CIT, TP, and tax accounting, with expertise in IFRS and Local GAAP.
  • You have advanced knowledge in SAP.
  • You have an excellent understanding of internal controls.
  • You demonstrate strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • You have strong business acumen and analytical skills with attention to detail, while being solutionoriented.
  • You are flexible, proactive, and have a willing personality.
