Business Development Manager EE and E-Mobility


Ascend Performance Materials is a rapidly growing global leader in the production of polyamides, seeking a Business Development Manager EE and E-mobility with proven capabilities to join our strong and competent team of industry professionals.


As a member of the European Ascend Performance Material's engineering plastics team, the BDM will be reporting to the European Sales Manager EE and working closely with the Platform Business and Segment Leaders, networking with various commercial, technical and manufacturing functions.

This is a home office position requiring 50% of travel activity.

Job Requirements

  • Experience working with the engineering organizations of automotive OEMs and tier suppliers.
  • Effective in delivering technical presentations to large groups of industry professionals or nontechnical executives.
  • Knowledge of polymer structure, properties and performance is a plus.
  • Must be a strategic and innovative thinker with strong problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit by not just thinking, but working "outside the box".
  • Has experience in addressing customers across multiple markets.
  • International business experience.
  • Experience in managing sales at Global key accounts is a plus
Job Responsibilities

  • Obtain approvals and generate specification at target accounts and OEM
  • Establish the networks within the engineering communities, especially predevelopment.
  • Understand and articulate the customer requirements
  • Develop relevant network of contacts and relationships at various levels of the organization both at key customers and Ascend
  • Become the voice of APM at the customer
- articulating strategy and providing regular business updates

  • Meet growth targets as defined in our LRP
  • Align the business strategy and growth plans with the target OEM's and Tier community
  • Collaborate globally to translate successes as appropriate

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • MS Office & CRM.
  • Must be team player who is selfmotivated & Multi cultural.
  • Able to work in a matrix organization.
  • Languages: English and German are necessary, additional languages are a plus.
