Job Description:
As a Legal Counsel on our team, you will be involved in:
- Working closely with the business on various consumer and competition law questions as well as related regulations, as needed with support from a senior team member;
- Providing the business with competition law training;
- Running requests for information from authorities or external stakeholders;
- Support with the implementation of regulation and compliance projects;
- Involvement in improving day to day activities to increase quality of our processes; and
- Working closely with other team members and the wider Legal & Public Affairs department to ensure the team is aligned across jurisdictions and ongoing cases.
- Has 5 years experience as a hands on Legal Counsel with experience in Competition and/or Consumer law, for example in a law firm or inhouse;
- Has experience advising the business on competition law, consumer law and, ideally, related regulatory matters;
- Is familiar with legal and policy issues of digital markets;
- Is a great teammate and excellent communicator, easily adapting to change and has the ability to resolve complex legal issues with efficiency and pragmatism;
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and, ideally, one other language;
- Is proactive and has the ability to work to tight schedules and prioritize based on deadlines set;
- Pays attention to detail and has the ability to extract relevant information for the purposes of taking commercial and legally sound decisions;
- Thinks out of the box, and has an innovative and creative approach to problem solving.
