Technical Draftsman

• As a technical draftsman, you will be responsible for creating rough sketches and detailed drawings of measuring instruments and experimental setups to meet predefined requirements/specs. You will also give input for analysis and optimize electromechanical designs of measuring instruments and respective subassemblies._

Responsibilities:

- _You will prepare both rough sketches and detailed drawings using state of the art CAD systems._
- _ You will follow-up on specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings._
- _ You will perform calculations for materials and weight limitations._
- _ You will communicate with mechanical designers, architects and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings._
- _ You will prepare, review and redraft alongside the engineering team and the engineering change process_
- _ You will ensure final designs are compliant with manufacturing instructions_
- _ You will identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team_
- _ You will analyze and optimize mechanical designs of measuring instruments and respective subassemblies._
- _ You will look for, discuss with, qualify, and support in selection of suppliers for key components such that specific requirements are met_
- _ You will maintain material in a product data management system and support maintenance of material in SAP_

Qualifications:
- _Academic education in engineering or equal by experience _
- _5 years of working experience in micromechanics, precision instruments and/ or measuring instruments_
- _ Familiar with measurement systems and respective technologies_
- _ Good knowledge using CAD Tools (Experience with Solidworks is an advantage)_
- _ Profound skills in general prototyping (machining, assembly, wiring,)_
- _ Knowledge on X-ray imaging and computed tomography is a big advantage_
- _ Knowledge on SAP is an advantage_
- _ Good cooperation and communication skills _
- _Experience in working in an interdisciplinary and international team _
- _Team player, intrinsically motivated_
- _ Very good spoken and written knowledge of English_
