For our client, an organization clearly committed to the energy transition with ambitious investment programs, we are looking for a General Accountant for the Accounting Department at its headquarters in Brussels.


Description
Within the General Accounting department, you will participate in:

  • the monthly accounting closure of several companies; within the group, according to Belgian accounting standards;
- the analysis, control and substantiation of the accounts;

  • The preparation of the financial statements and the annual accounts;
  • The preparation of VAT returns;
- preparation of reporting to the company's internal and external clients;
- ad hoc projects to improve existing internal processes;
- assisting the auditor and internal audit during their audits.

Profile

  • You are Bachelor (A1) in Accountancy or can provide equivalent experience;
  • You have a relevant experience of minimum 5 years in an accounting function from A to Z;
  • You are a team player, very results oriented and stress resistant;
  • You are very accurate and demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills;
  • You are eager to learn and strive to keep your knowledge up to date;
  • You have a fluent command of Dutch and/or French and sufficient knowledge of English;
  • You work fluently with the MS Office package (mainly Excel);
  • Knowledge of SAP is necessary.
