Poulpharm is looking for a scientific manager in pathology. This veterinary pathologist must have a special interest in poultry and porcine diseases to develop a new area of expertise within the organization to support both our diagnostic lab and the Contract Research Organisation.
WHAT DOES THE JOB ENTAIL?

• Perform necropsies of poultry and pigs, with special attention to sample taking, for both the diagnostic lab and research projects;
• Write necropsy and histopathology and haematology reports;
• Keep close contact with the veterinarian to discuss findings and results to suggest a followup plan;
• Trimming of formalinfixed material;
• Providing scientific support to the study directors and scientific managers for both the diagnostic lab and _in vitro_ & _in vivo_ research projects.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

• Is a veterinarian (Master in Veterinary Medicine)
• Relevant experience in the field of veterinary pathology; ECVP or ACVP certification is a plus, but not essential. Training on the job will be possible.
• Possesses knowledge of veterinary histopathology and haematology of poultry and swine and has a general idea of the setup of a histology/haematology lab
• Has a strong interest in the poultry and swine industry to think together with and solve problems for the client
• Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team, selfmotivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills for communication within the different business units and with the clients.
• Has strong time management and organization skills; deadlines are no problem for you
