About the position:

Our Sony R&D Center in Zaventem, Brussels is looking for a Blockchain Developer to join an R&D team that is working on new blockchain-based features for Sony devices and services. This role involves creating innovative designs that merge blockchain technology and new crypto methods to enhance privacy features.

You will:

  • Explore and test new techniques that blend blockchain technology and crypto algorithms
  • Present and defend new techniques/algorithms in a clear and convincing manner
  • Design software architecture suitable for the intended business context
  • Create high-quality, well-tested software for reliable performance

You should be someone who:

  • Works well in a diverse team environment
  • Has a natural curiosity and interest in Blockchain/Crypto
  • Is proactive and can work independently
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a practical approach to deliver results
  • Possesses excellent presentation and communication skills

You will bring:

  • Experience in developing proof-of-concepts and pilots using blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Hyperledger, Multi-chain
  • Familiarity with open-source tools and knowledge of cryptocurrencies
  • Understanding of various distributed consensus methods and layer 2 solutions
  • Strong knowledge of cryptography, including asymmetric and symmetric key algorithms
  • Experience with versioning systems like Git
  • Hands-on experience with languages such as Java, Rust, Golang, Python, and more
