Roles & Responsibilities

• Planning and executing audit field work, statutory reporting, and completion work for companies in Belgium.
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff.
• Creating an audit file following International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and KPMG's guidelines. Compiling a report on audit findings.
• Keeping managers and partners informed on audit progress.
• Meeting clients on-site and serving as the main contact throughout the year.
• Staying updated on KPMG's offerings and spotting business opportunities among clients.
• For Financial Services entities: Assisting in the regulatory oversight of audited businesses.

Skills & Qualifications

• Hold a master degree in commercial engineering, commercial sciences, or (applied) economic sciences with a focus on Accountancy as a plus.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience as an external auditor.
• Possess a critical mindset and apply professional judgment consistently.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities are crucial.
• Proficient in Belgian Gaap and IFRS, with knowledge of US GAAP and US GAAS considered advantageous.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to grasp broader business aspects to identify key audit risks and accounting matters, creating appropriate audit strategies and procedures.
• Assume responsibility for audit execution, ensuring high-quality work delivery.
• Excellent planning, organizational skills, and adaptability to evolving situations with multiple demands.
• Actively share knowledge, develop, motivate, coach, train, and guide junior team members effectively.
