Introduction
The Volvo truck factory in Gent is the biggest truck manufacturing plant in the Volvo Group worldwide. Every day, nearly 2000 colleagues assemble top-quality trucks here. Meet Your Team
You will join a dedicated communication team consisting of three colleagues, a logistics support member (handling print work, photography, etc.), and the communication director. As a communication expert, your team is diverse, using your skills to assist colleagues from different departments with their communication challenges. You will also have access to the expertise of an extensive international Volvo communication network.
Your Ideal Role
- Gain experience with a diverse range of tasks tailored to your talents: editorial work, graphic design, creating video scripts, filming and editing, research tasks, developing and implementing communication plans, creating engaging company presentations, managing social media and other digital communication channels, assisting in coordinating company visits or events, and more.
- Participate in ongoing company projects to develop and organize necessary communications for various target audiences through different channels (social media, information screens, team meetings, intranet, newsletters, etc.).
- Conduct interviews with colleagues or collaborate on communication initiatives within our factory.

- You excel in storytelling using both words and visuals.
- You have strong language skills in Dutch and English.
- You are proficient in Office programs.
- Experience with Adobe Indesign and Adobe Premiere or other video editing programs is a bonus.
