Versterk het coördinatieteam van het Flemish Research Data Network (FRDN)
Open Science wint zowel nationaal als internationaal aan belang. Ook Vlaanderen zet in op deze nieuwe beweging in onderzoek om ervoor te zorgen dat onderzoeksgegevens op de juiste manier worden opgeslagen, gedeeld en hergebruikt. Dit verhoogt transparantie, efficiëntie en innovatie in onderzoek.
In het kader van dit doel heeft de Vlaamse overheid de Vlaamse Open Science Board (FOSB) opgericht, een adviesraad die het Open Science beleid uitstippelt. Het FRDN is het netwerk dat de opdracht krijgt om dit beleid naar de praktijk om te zetten. Dit gebeurt in een dynamische samenwerking van Vlaamse onderzoekscentra. Het netwerk richt zich op drie pijlers van Open Science: infrastructuur, toegepast onderzoeksbeleid en competentieontwikkeling. De coördinatie van dit netwerk is ondergebracht bij het FWO.
Een belangrijk initiatief binnen dit netwerk is de "knowledge hub voor data stewards" (zie voor meer informatie De knowledge hub is een "zelflerende community" van data stewards werkzaam in de verschillende onderzoekscentra, Het brengt deze professionals in contact met elkaar door middel van een online platform, online seminaries en 3-jaarlijkse events, met als doel het bevorderen van kennisdeling en cross-institutionele samenwerking.   • Werk samen met een diverse mix van data professionals uit verschillende nationale en internationale onderzoekscentra.
  • Draag bij aan de implementatie van visionaire Open Science beleidsmaatregelen.
  • Neem deel aan participatieve projecten die de toekomst van onderzoek vormgeven.
Profiel We zoeken een professional die het coördinatieteam kan vervoegen dat zich gepassioneerd inzet voor (Open) Science en wetenschapscommunicatie. In de eerste plaats zal hij of zij verantwoordelijk zijn voor de organisatie van de knowledge hub voor data stewards. We zoeken dan ook een dynamisch persoon die mensen kan enthousiasmeren en samenbrengen. Organisatorisch talent en toepassing van wetenschaps(communicatie), berichtgeving op website en social media zijn belangrijk. Ook internationaal netwerken opbouwen is een belangrijk deel van de job.
Andere kwalificaties:
  • In het bezit van een masterdiploma of gelijkwaardig door ervaring
  • Analytische vaardigheden en vermogen om zelfstandig te werken, initiatief te nemen en taken efficiënt te beheren
  • Flexibele werkhouding in een snel evoluerend landschap
  • Algemene digitale vaardigheden
  • Vaardig in Nederlands en Engels, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk
  • Vertrouwdheid met het academische landschap, Open Science en community management zijn een pluspunt

Selectieprocedure
De selectieprocedure bestaat uit een cv-screening en een uitgebreid sollicitatiegesprek. Het sollicitatiegesprek vindt plaats op dinsdag 6 augustus 2024 of woensdag 7 augustus 2024. Op basis van het cv en het gesprek zal het FWO een aantal kandidaten rangschikken en aan de eerst gerangschikte kandidaat wordt de functie aangeboden. Indien deze kandidaat de functie niet opneemt, wordt de functie aangeboden aan de volgende gerangschikte kandidaat.
