The Business Operations Director works closely with functional leaders to optimize R&D resources for maximum impact on patients.
The role of the Business Operations Director is like a smart and dynamic glue, streamlining operational activities critical to R&D strategy delivery.
As the Business Operations Director, you will provide essential support and collaborate closely with the senior leader of the function (SVP/VP level).
We are looking to fill two Business Operations Director positions, one for the Oncology Clinical Development function and the other for Global Regulatory Affairs.
This role is adaptable, and specific function alignment may change based on business needs and organizational changes.
A Business Operations Director adds value through:
- FOCUS: Using determination, expertise, and experience to drive critical aspects of R&D success forward. Acting promptly to advance the best opportunities and prioritize high-value tasks.
- EFFICIENCY: Seeking substantial improvements along with incremental changes in efficiency, introducing new ideas to enhance productivity. Utilizing data to address obstacles hindering optimal R&D performance.

Leading key activities to support business operations effectively, collaborating closely with other business enablers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Actively organizing and participating in Leadership Team meetings to ensure strategic and operational needs are met.
- Transforming team ideas into a solid and efficient strategy.
- Working with the Leadership Team to define and execute team objectives.
- Collaborating with Finance, Human Resources (HR), and Resource Management to provide resource management analyses for appropriate portfolio resourcing.
- Managing complex projects from initial planning to final delivery.

- We seek professionals with the following essential skills to achieve our objectives:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- 5+ years supporting senior leadership teams as a business operations professional.
- 3+ years of project leadership and management experience.
- 3+ years of change management expertise on various projects/programs at multiple organizational levels, including VP level and above.
- 3+ years of experience in utilizing data analytics to enhance performance.
- Willingness to travel internationally occasionally.
