About the role


The Sales Representative is a key associate that has the responsibility to promote the Novartis portfolio to customers by providing information and education that enables optimized patient outcomes and to develop, implement and measure success of projects.

All customer engagement activities should enable the overall strategy and follow the agreed operational approach and solutions leveraging data and digital to maximize customer experience and accelerate performance, reaching the sales objectives.

The Sales representative is the face of our customer experience approach and builds deep relationships that deliver value for customers and patients to drive sales growth in a compliant and ethical manner.


Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively and continuously master on product knowledge and disease area knowledge, latest and relevant data, key messages and disease information on respective brands and portfolio.
  • Execute strategic projects to accelerate performance and impact customer engagement and experience excellence in close exchange with the field teams and the business functions.
  • Maximize field presence to achieve own and team's agreed sales, productivity and performance target while ensuring excellency in customer satisfaction and customer services and completing all reporting and administrative requirements.
  • Leverages advanced customer engagement skills to deliver high quality customer interactions and maximizing customer experience for the benefit of patients.
  • Orchestrate and implement the omnichannel engagement strategy in the given sector.
  • Market understanding and compliance, by remaining updated on required information (market, competition, pricing, account) and by deepening your knowledge of the industry and dynamics.
  • Behave ethically, comply with regulatory requirements, and adhere to Novartis values and behaviors unities.

Role Requirements

Essential requirements:

  • Proven track record in Sales within healthcare, pharma, or related business.
  • Excellence in sales, with strong track record in delivering targets.
  • Strong and engaging communication, negotiation and selling skills.
  • Established ability to work crossfunctionally.
  • Knowledge in the therapeutic areas is desirable.
  • Project management.
  • Able to understand changing dynamics of Pharma industry.
  • Customerfocused mindset and strong solution orientation.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Fast learner
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Experience in one of the following domains: Sales Medical or Medical Devices
  • Language preferences: Dutch and English
