Job Introduction

We are looking for an IS Tester for European Commission DG Informatics (DIGIT TM) in Brussels and other European locations.

Main Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Development of test plans and test cases on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Creation of test scenarios and scripts.
  • Execution of tests.
  • Test coordination.
  • Reporting test results.

Successful Candidate

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Minimum educational requirement is a three-year bachelor's degree.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong writing skills, with experience in drafting written reports.
  • Ability to adapt to an international/multi-cultural setting, quick self-starter with team experience.
  • Proficiency in dealing with rapidly evolving technologies in application development.

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

  • Extensive knowledge of various testing methodologies, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Competence in designing and executing detailed test cases and plans encompassing common and edge-case scenarios.
  • Analysis of requirements and design specifications to establish comprehensive test plans and cases.
  • Attention to detail to identify issues and ensure correct application functionality in diverse scenarios and conditions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for precise bug reporting, test case documentation, and communication of testing outcomes to the development team and stakeholders.
  • Maintenance of clear and concise documentation to track testing progress and results.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in Agile development, engaging in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and review meetings.
  • Thorough understanding of ServiceNow's architecture and core features, spanning modules like Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) and IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow's user interface and navigation to test scenarios efficiently as an end user.
  • Proficiency in defect troubleshooting and isolation in a complex enterprise software environment such as ServiceNow.
  • Ability to simulate user issues and confirm resolved bugs methodically.
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques for managing test cases and defects, such as JIRA or SPM.
  • Understanding of user experience principles to ensure functional and user-friendly applications adhering to UX design best practices.
  • Test data preparation experience.
  • Readiness to stay updated on ServiceNow's regular updates and new features.
