FinTech Belgium, the grassroot non-profit organisation BY and FOR fintechs active in Belgium with the sole purpose to see a new digital financial world thrive thanks to innovation.
Since 2014, FinTech Belgium gathers a very dynamic community to discuss disruptive models and support the development of new technologies for the finance industry.

- _ DIALOGUE - we are the SPOC for our industry towards the regulators and other parties_
- _ SHARE - we make the magic happen by sharing information, experience and knowledge within and out of our community_
- We organise between 10 and 20 events / year amongst which our annual Digital Finance Summit )_
Then Fintech Belgium has the right job for youFrom business development, team management, and fostering success, your role within a team of 5-6 people will be to relieve the current CEO of these responsibilities.
TASKS:
will include, but not be limited to the following:
The Deputy CEO's role will be multifaceted:
Management:
- Coordinate between partnership management, event organisation, content management, and communication.
Business Development:
- Partnership Development: Manage existing partnerships, seek out new partners, and explore new sources of collaboration.
Relationship with the Board of Directors:
- Prepare all presentations and reports for the board of directors.
Financial Oversight:
- Prepare annual budgets with team support, including event budgets.
Recruitment:
- Take the lead on upcoming recruitment efforts (employees, independent collaborators, and interns).
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for a multi-tasking, stress-resistant, dynamic and resourceful person, a team player who likes responsibilities as well as learning, who can work independently as well, organised/structured with excellent people skills, and a techie-side.
- Leadership: Ability to motivate, inspire, and guide the team to achieve common goals.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
- Networking: Proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with partners, sponsors, members, and the fintech community.
- Financial Management: Understanding of budgeting and financial planning for an organisation that generates its own revenue.
- Strategic Thinking: Capacity to develop and implement strategies for the growth and success of the association.
- Organisational Skills: Effective time management and ability to prioritise tasks to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaboration: Ability to work closely with the team, board of directors, and external stakeholders to drive the association's mission.
- Proven experience in a management role, preferably within a startup, nonprofit, or fintech environment.
- Experience in event planning, sponsorship acquisition, or partnership development is a plus Strong problemsolving skills and a proactive, resultoriented mindset.
- Fluent in English, good knowledge of either Dutch or French is required
- Knowledge of the FinTech / Financial industry / Startup environment is a plus.
SALARY:
Gross 4000€ - 5000€ / month
