VITO zet met haar onderzoeksprogramma 'Duurzame Gezondheid' volop in op het ondersteunen van de maatschappelijke transities naar een meer preventief en gepersonaliseerd gezondheidssysteem. Door de burger beheer en controle te geven over zijn eigen gezondheidsdata, en de koppeling van verschillende databronnen, creëert VITO samen met partners de basis voor onderzoek en ontwikkeling van innovatieve inzichten en oplossingen in preventie, welzijn en gezondheid. Zo streeft het We Are project ernaar om het vertrouwen van burgers, van patiënten in onderzoek en ontwikkeling dankzij data te vergroten. VITO coördineert het We Are project en ontwikkelt en optimaliseert technologie (SOLID) die deze missie ondersteunt. Naast SOLID ontwikkelen we in WE ARE een data governance structuur om burgers controle te geven over de eigen data en door hen actief te betrekken bij beslissingen over het beheer van de data. Hierdoor krijgen burgers de garantie dat ze hun data op een veilige manier kunnen delen als hefboom voor persoonlijk welzijn en het algemeen belang.

Wil jij als Business en Relationship Developer hier een bijdrage aan leveren?
- Je exploreert relaties met stakeholders en partners in het ecosysteem van datagedreven gezondheidszorg en preventie,
- Je volgt de verschillende opportuniteiten in dit domein op, zoekt aanknopingspunten met de VITO expertise en technologie.
- Je helpt grote en complexe offertes en onderzoeksvoorstellen met partners in te dienen om samen met hen internationale en nationale onderzoeksprojecten en contracten te realiseren. Je ondersteunt de onderzoekers bij de coördinatie van dit proces, zowel intern als extern
- Je bouwt een goed netwerk op in dit veld, met partners en met mogelijke financierders (EC, overheden,). Je licht de waarde van het VITO-onderzoek toe bij deze externe contacten en enthousiasmeert overheden, internationale organisaties, onderzoekscentra en bedrijven.
- Je volgt de verschillende opportuniteiten in dit domein op, zoekt aanknopingspunten met de VITO expertise en technologie. Je dient grote en complexe offertes en onderzoeksvoorstellen in met partners. Je neemt hierbij de coördinatie van dit proces op, zowel intern als extern. Je organiseert de nodige input van partners en onderzoekers.
- Je ben sterk in administratie en financiële aspecten van project management, je bent verantwoordelijk voor de uitwerking van het financiële luik in de projecten.
- Je detecteert en volgt de markt
- en beleidsontwikkelingen op en zet deze kennis in om de product
- en marktstrategieën van de onderzoeksteams te versterken en ondersteunen.
- Voor dit alles werk je nauw samen met een multidisciplinair team van onderzoekers, administratieve medewerkers en je commerciële collega's.

- Je behaalde een Masterdiploma in de wetenschappen en beschikt over een sterke economische/commerciële achtergrond.
- Je hebt minstens 3 jaar ervaring in het uitbouwen van een netwerk en het opzetten van onderzoeksprojecten binnen de life Sciences.
- Je beschikt over een uitgebreid, actief netwerk, relevant voor de uitbouw van je portfolio. Je hebt inzicht in de rol van beleids
- en industriële actoren in dit domein op nationaal en internationaal niveau en hebt de nodige expertise (commercieel en inhoudelijk) om hen te kunnen benaderen.
- Je bent projectmatig onderlegd en in staat om complexe dossiers tot een goed einde te brengen.
- Je stelt je op als partner-adviseur. Je beschikt over sterke empathische vaardigheden, weet de essentie van vragen te capteren en zoekt naar haalbare en innovatieve oplossingen
- Je hebt een klantgerichte en commerciële ingesteldheid en weet anderen vlot te overtuigen en te enthousiasmeren.
- Je bent een initiatiefnemer met sterke communicatievaardigheden, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk, en je scoort als teamplayer.
- Je bent stressbestendig en flexibel (bereid tot korte buitenlandse trips, bijwonen van netwerkactiviteiten,)
- Je spreekt en schrijft vlot in het Engels en Nederlands.
