We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Expert in DevSecOps to join our dynamic team at CTG IT Solutions within the European Institutions.

As an Expert in DevSecOps, you will play a crucial role in defining and implementing comprehensive testing and deployment strategies for our diverse range of projects.

You will collaborate closely with development teams, providing guidance and support in adopting DevSecOps practices.

In addition, you will be responsible for automating deployment processes, implementing infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems, and managing the testing effort for each engagement.

You will contribute to the documentation, training, and continuous improvement of our procedures, enhancing automation levels and preparing container-based and cloud-based pipelines.


Responsibilities:

  • Define the scope of testing within the context of each release/delivery.
  • Implement build plans for JEE and Angular projects in continuous integration tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, and Gitlab.
  • Automate deployment processes and establish infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Document and provide training on the implemented procedures.
  • Enhance automation levels to optimize efficiency.
  • Prepare future containerbased and cloudbased pipelines.
  • Define and implement the overall test approach, including the selection and implementation of suitable test tools.
  • Produce the overall test delivery plan, defining milestones, test tasks, and activities for business and IT deliverables.
  • Define roles and responsibilities for the test team, ensuring timely production of all test deliverables.
  • Deploy and manage resources for testing purposes.
  • Plan, deploy, and manage the testing effort for each engagement.
  • Monitor and report the status and progress of each test phase to stakeholders and agreedupon standards.
  • Resolve technical issues related to the technical solution delivered into the business test environment.
  • Escalate issues to senior management when significant threats to delivery arise.
  • Work within the project/programme governance defined by the Project/Programme Manager and contribute to formal project reviews.
  • Own and resolve issues related to the technical solution delivered into the business test environment.
  • Ensure effective issue escalation to senior management when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in IT and minimum 13 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining business features using Java micro/macroservices.
  • Proficiency in implementing integration patterns in a JEE/HTTP secured ecosystem.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and documenting business events produced on a corporate eventstreaming platform (e.g., Kafka) and consumed by various systems.
  • Knowledge of configuring the lifecycle of microservices in a containerbased infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with defining and configuring monitoring dashboards and alerting policies for the operation team.
  • Ability to assist the operation team in resolving production issues related to developed services.
  • Excellent team player with the capability to integrate into an international/multicultural environment.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
  • Familiarity with working in multicultural environments and on multiple large projects.
  • Proficiency in English (C1) and French (B2) will be advantageous.
  • Discretion and integrity when handling personal and confidential data.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience in software development and information system integration architecture design and patterns within multiplatform and multiarchitectural contexts.
  • Understanding of relevant technologies in development, integration, deployment, and operation of Information Systems.
  • Knowledge of software engineering challenges, specifically interoperability and security considerations.
  • Experience in integrating solutions and components in a multiplatform landscape, encompassing inhouse/COTS, open source, onpremises, and cloud environments.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline and DevSecOps practices.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Apache Kafka, API Gateway, Kubernetes, Docker, ELK stack, Splunk, etc.
  • Experience with API Gateway (WSO2 API Manager and Analytics) and standards/APIs like REST, SOAP, JSON, Swagger, XSD, JAX-WS.
  • Familiarity with eventdriven programming and Java EE 8 technologies (JEE platform, Java API, JSF, JMS).
  • Proficiency in using Confluence, JIRA, and Agile methodologies.
