This job in a nutshell:
We are currently searching for an experienced senior manager to further build the Compliance business unit for Banking.
As the Compliance Senior manager, you will help drive the compliance agenda forward and you will play an important role driving the change at Banks.
You have extensive experience in the implementation of new rules & regulations such as Anti-Money Laundering (Know Your Customer, Know Your Transaction), Sanctions & Embargoes, MiID II, GDPR, PSD II, MAD/MAR, etc.
You are also very knowldeable of upcoming regulations, a.o. AML Authority, MiCAR, DORA and PSD III. You are also used to interact with the regulator.You are very well connected with the compliance and risk officers of banks.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients adheres to regulatory requirements, manage their compliance & legal risks effectively, and maintains strong governance practices.
This role will involve overseeing and implementing compliance initiatives, policies, and procedures to safeguard the integrity and reputation of our clients.
Bring the compliance function to the next level including Digital compliancy features.What will you be doing?:
- Further build the compliance business unit as where you act as a business partner towards our clients and grow a highperforming team
- Regulatory watch: on top of all the regulatory topics and compliance trends for Banks
- Thought Leadership: demonstrate expertise, professionalism and vision of the Banking compliance function
- Business Development: act as a trusted advisor towards clients and maintain long term relationships
- People: Developing internal capabilities and inspire/mentor young potentials
- Active role in client delivery activities:
- Drive and support complex regulatory initiatives
- Manage and structure several projects
- Manage and coach several teams (managers / senior & junior consultants)
- Interact with / listen to the client, showing professionalism, in order to accurately capture his ideas, expectations and concerns by asking questions to clarify priorities and potential issues
- Act as a trusted advisor:
- Assist and contribute in identifying strategic or operational issues and propose solutions including fit-for-purpose technology capabilities
- Shape target operating models, business processes and organizational impacts
What do you bring to the table?:
- Master degree in Law, Applied Economic Sciences, Business Engineering
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in GRC
- Experience in building a sustainable business and highperforming teams in the financial services industry
- Experience in digital compliance implementation within Banks
- Strong banking business accumen
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in French, Dutch and English
- Teamplayer and entrepreneurial & creative mindset
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to build immediate credibility with executive clients
