Job Title: Site Manager - Ubilog (Mollem)

As the Site Manager in Mollem, you will be responsible for organizing all logistical activities in the site where around 150 people work, both during the day and at night.

You will report to the Operations Manager and directly supervise 4 Dayshift Managers and 1 Nightshift Manager.

  • You establish guidelines and define the necessary systems, quality standards, and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of logistical processes, ensuring compliance across different departments (SLA/SOP).
  • You regularly measure KPIs to actively monitor the productivity and quality of activities, in line with the set budget and SLAs. You work closely with your team to define action plans aimed at further optimizing productivity/quality.
  • You provide advice on investments and structural improvements in logistics to enhance productivity and quality within the processes.
  • You coordinate and organize the site's activities based on priorities, skills, and organizational needs to deliver an efficient and effective service that meets quality requirements within set deadlines.
  • You develop contingency plans for unexpected circumstances and various scenarios, ensuring awareness among relevant departments and coordinating plan execution when necessary (e.g., strikes, significant delivery delays, technical issues).
  • You foster strong collaboration with all involved services within and outside the organization, organizing necessary ad hoc and recurring meetings to establish a robust bottom-up and top-down communication structure.
  • You are responsible for managing the site's budget (FTEs, temporary staff, investments, provisions, purchases, facility costs, etc.).
  • You contribute to the implementation of projects and innovations in the Mollem site in collaboration with the project team and IT department.
  • You coach and develop your team to optimize and develop their competencies, skills, and expertise, fostering a well-functioning department.
  • You stay updated on logistics trends and developments, taking necessary initiatives to keep your know-how current.
  • You oversee safety and hygiene on the site, ensuring compliance with best practices and rules aligned with AMP's values.

Profile:

  • You have around 10 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in the logistics or distribution sector.
  • You are fluently bilingual in Dutch and French.
  • You possess a good balance of task-oriented and people-oriented leadership, inspiring your team with smart goals and supporting their development to achieve objectives.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to guide organizational changes in a constructive social dialogue environment.
  • You enjoy working closely with and among your team of logistical staff.
  • You prefer a 'no-nonsense' and 'can-do' approach in the solutions you provide.
  • You have solid experience with logistics systems, with SAP experience being a significant advantage.
  • You are flexible with work hours and willing to travel to oversee nighttime logistical activities.
  • You have active knowledge of Microsoft tools. Proficiency in SAP (or another ERP) and familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS) principles are advantageous.
