Job description:

  • Position Summary
The Demand Planner plays a pivotal role in effectively managing demand for critical elements in the production process.

This role involves forecasting, analysis, and management of production requirements to meet production needs, customer expectations, and overall business objectives.


  • Your Responsibilities

Demand Forecasting: Utilize analytical methods and modeling tools to accurately forecast future demand based on historical data, market trends, customer orders, and production parameters.

Data Analysis: Review and analyze past and current demand data to identify trends, seasonal patterns, market variations, and other factors influencing demand.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, sales, logistics, and inventory management teams to understand needs, constraints, and opportunities to optimize demand planning.

Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels considering demand forecasts, delivery lead times, storage costs, and inventory turnover objectives.

Monitoring and Adjustment: Continuously monitor demand planning performance, identify variances from forecasts and targets, and make continuous adjustments and improvements to the process.

Communication: Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, sharing information on forecasted demand, production constraints, plan changes, and other relevant aspects of demand planning.

  • About You

Education: Master's degree in logistics, operations management, engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in demand forecasting and planning tools such as ERP software, Advanced Planning Systems (APS), and statistical modeling techniques.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.

Communication: Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills;

Languages:fluent in English and French.

Independence: Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
