Coördinator Vrijwilligers

Volunteering has a huge impact on our society and also for Vulpia. A good volunteering program offers significant help to our residents and our homes. Our goal is to recruit 2000 new volunteers for our residential care centers in three years (and 3000 in five years). To coordinate this program, we are looking for a 'Volunteer Coordinator'.

In this role, your main responsibility is to attract, train, and retain our volunteers. Sounds appealing? Check out below what you can expect from the position:

• You aim to establish a structured volunteer program with various tasks and responsibilities.
• You develop effective recruitment strategies, both online and offline, including workshops and information sessions.
• You strive to create a positive culture where volunteers can grow, feel valued, engaged, and supported.
• You collaborate with internal teams (residential and care homes) and external partners to understand and fulfill the needs of both volunteers and residents.
• You evaluate and report the progress to the management.

Your expertise extends to working with different target groups, including the elderly in residential care centers, and you have a good knowledge of and/or affinity with the healthcare sector and the specific needs of this group. Additionally, you can relate to the following profile:

• You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (Dutch and French).
• You are adept at networking and know how to build strong relationships with local communities, educational institutions, and businesses.
• You are well-organized, enabling you to manage large-scale volunteer programs.
• Empathy and understanding come naturally to you, which is essential for meeting the needs and desires of volunteers.
• You are creative in finding attractive volunteer opportunities and organizing events.
• You have problem-solving skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
• Being present in our residential and care homes is crucial for this role, so you are willing to travel throughout Belgium.
