Ecommerce Europe acts at European level to help legislators create a better framework for online merchants, so that their sales can grow further.
Ecommerce Europe is recruiting an experienced Public Affairs Advisor, based in Brussels, who will work as part of the policy team on priority issues with regards to e-commerce.
Job description
- Manage the work of the eRegulations Working Committee of Ecommerce Europe;
- Coordinate the team working under the responsibility of the advisor;
- Gather intelligence and analyse relevant EU legislation on ecommerce, draft briefings, and position papers;
- Engage with members and coordinate Ecommerce Europe's policy activities within working committees;
- Contribute to the development and execution of Public Affairs strategies;
- Engage with relevant EU stakeholders on behalf of Ecommerce Europe;
- Represent Ecommerce Europe in internal and external meetings and events;
- Organise relevant meetings and events, with the support of the team.
- At least 4 years of working experience with and/or within EU trade associations, lobbying organisations or relevant companies;
- Graduated with a master's degree in a relevant field such as European law/studies, Political Science, or other relevant education;
- Excellent analytical skills with regards to EU legislation and drafting skills with regards to position papers, briefings, letters and press releases;
- Excellent relationship management skills e.g., with members and other stakeholders;
- Experience in preparing and executing public affairs strategies and campaigns;
- Experience on digital policy files (ideally related to ecommerce/retails) is a strong asset;
- Excellent spoken and written Knowledge of other languages is an asset;
- Proactive and dynamic person with excellent communication and personal skills;
- Sound interest in ecommerce/retail related policies at European level.
