Application and Cloud Architect

OF THE TASKS

The following tasks will be performed:

  • Analysis of the integration of different information systems
  • Data analysis and data modeling
  • Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
  • Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
  • Production of software architecture documents
  • Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings, and meetings with the users
  • Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation, and reporting
  • Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture
  • Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate existing systems in the cloud, when the case
  • Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components
  • Analysis, design, and implementation of services and composites in SOA context (BPMN, BPEL, SCA)
  • Followup of the data analysis and data modeling
  • Help with the deployment of the components, help with the configuration management
  • Provision of security assessments and solutions associated with information systems
  • Future tasks as technical leader could be foreseen
  • Development of frontend website architecture
  • Design and develop APIs

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

The minimum educational qualification corresponds to Level 6 of the European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a
bachelor's degree of 3 years.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above-listed tasks:

  • Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns
  • Good knowledge of microservices and architecture in the cloud
  • Good knowledge of modeling tools
  • Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
  • Good knowledge of Relational DBMS
  • Good knowledge of business process analysis
  • Knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, messageoriented middleware, serviceoriented bus, event architecture)
  • Experience in JAVA (JEE) technology (full stack), Spring
  • Experience with Angular (Angular 2+)
  • Experience with J2EE 8 environment and standards, EJB
  • Experience with these standards/APIs: XSD, SOAP, JAX-WS, JAXB (possibly also JAX RPC)
  • Good knowledge of relational database management (Oracle, SQL,)
  • Experience with Message Oriented Middleware/Enterprise Service Bus technologies
  • Experience with microservices and RESTful paradigms
  • Experience with modern UI paradigms (clientside scripting)
  • Experience in objectoriented design and development, reusable components design and development, UML
  • Experience with unit and integration testing and automatic testing frameworks, as well as CI/CD and integration tools like Jenkins, Sonar
  • Knowledge of automatic testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Protractor)
  • Practical experience with Eclipse/Workshop 10.3, Ant or Maven, SoapUI
  • Experienced with JavaScript
  • Analysis and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills
  • Good knowledge of agile methodology
  • The capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid selfstarting capability and experience in working in a team
  • Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment, on multiple large projects

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
The following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:

  • At least 5 years of experience with Java (J2EE) and/or Spring (competence level min 3)
  • At least 2 years of experience with Angular 2+ (competence level min 3)
  • At least 5 years of experience with REST and/or SOAP (competence level min 3)
  • At least 5 years of experience with Maven (competence level min 3)
  • At least 2 years of experience with JIRA (competence level min 2)
  • At least 1 year of experience in one / more of the following: Elastic Search, Kafka, Mockito, JUnit, Docker
