Job Title: Category Buyer - Electronics

Mission:

The Category Buyer in Electronics supports procurement categories such as PCB, PCBA, and electronic Components, ensuring end-to-end performance of the acquisition process. They lead supplier selection exercises, implement category strategies, and manage supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support different procurement categories from components to PCBA.
• Work closely with Global Category Managers and Tactical Buyers.
• Monitor markets for defined categories and provide insights for product competitiveness.

Operational Support:

• Ensure required information is provided for Procurement Orders.

Procurement Competitiveness Capture:

• Monitor markets and provide insights for competitive product development.

Governance, Leadership, and Performance Management:

• Apply appropriate governance using KPIs and corrective actions.

Supplier/Acquisition Management:

• Manage supply base performance, ensure fair supplier competitions, utilize global contracts, and procurement tools.
• Identify suppliers for development actions and support necessary improvement initiatives.

Profile:

• Professional qualification (CIPS, EIPM, ISM, MAI) desirable.
• Experience in project/program management and negotiation projects.
• Ability to implement supply chain strategy, lead negotiations, and understand market and customer needs.
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork abilities, and capacity for analysis and synthesis.
• Strong prioritization skills and representation of Thales values.
