Compliance Data Officer - Integrated Compliance Team

[Internship, 80%-100%, Brussels]

Your role & work environment

  • You will be part of the Integrated Compliance team within the Compliance department and report to the Team Manager. In your role, you will be involved in supporting the entire ING Belgium Compliance organisation by delivering data requests needed for analysis and taking part in data analytics initiatives._

Your key responsibilities

Translating the business needs into analytical request

  • Discussing and challenging the needs and requirements with your colleagues / peers.
  • Think a step further in terms of analysis, timelines, and crosschecking data needs
- and availability.

  • You can think about suitable approach and solution. You share this with your colleagues / peers.
  • You run your analysis on the databases and come up with answers.
  • You can advise your colleagues / peers in optimizing (database) techn$iques and analysis.

Others:

  • Design, plan and deliver (together with your colleagues data experts at Compliance) training initiatives to share knowledge.

As an intern - Compliance Data Officer, you are someone who:

  • Is enrolled in a bachelor's program in data or computer science, computational intelligence, or a related field.
- exhibits an eagerness to learn, not only in technical areas but also in developing interpersonal skills.
- has a creative and curious mindset, excited about data mining/exploring various scenarios and acquiring practical skills.
- thinks one step ahead and provides advice on the best implementation.
- has solid communication skills and work in cross-functional teams with ambitious goals.

  • Is enthusiast for Data Analysis and able to motivate others.
  • Is fluent in English and capable of following technical discussions around data science
  • Has (or willingness to learn) knowledge in SQL and databases, including the ability:
  • to write and optimize complex queries,
- work with sizable and intricate data sets.
