We also have a hub in Silicon Valley.About the EIT Digital Acceleration Manager:
EIT Digital supports the boosting of EU deep tech digital startups through its education, open innovation and corporate acceleration activities.
These activities act as a bridge between the EIT Digital Incubator (Venture Program) and the EIT Digital Growth Services.
The Speed Master is a four month acceleration programme comprising modules on business development, management, strategy and access to finance delivered by the Accelerator team with the support of additional EIT Digital experts from other parts of the organisation.
The Open Innovation Factory is an open innovation programme that allows corporates and other stakeholders of the EIT Digital ecosystem to work with startups on innovative projects with a focus on commercialisation.
EIT Digital supports these innovation activities by providing financial support and acceleration support by delivering acceleration modules from the Speed Master during the activity's timeframe.
The sourcing team of the Accelerator supports the enrolment of fast-growing deep tech European startups into the Speed Master or any corporate acceleration programme, as well as scouting these startups for the Open Innovation Factory, in support of the work done by ecosystem leads.
The marketing lead of the Accelerator, as well as the marcom team of EIT Digital, supports the deployment of marketing and communication strategies to raise awareness and increase sales of all acceleration and open innovation activities.
In addition to scouting for European startups outside of the EIT Digital ecosystem, the acceleration and open innovation activities should be made systematically available to all graduates of the EIT Digital Incubator (Venture Program).
Similarly, all startups involved in any acceleration and open innovation activities should be systematically connected to the Growth Services team.
About the Role:
EIT Digital is looking for an Acceleration Manager to lead the sourcing and business development team of the Accelerator, as well as the Open Innovation Factory team, to drive all acceleration and open innovation activities of EIT Digital:
- Deliver Speed Master to an increasing number of startup founders/CxOs to help them bring their startups to the next level, including EIT Digital portfolio startups and Open Innovation Factory selected startups.
- Connect the EIT Digital Incubator (Venture Program) to the Speed Master and the Speed Master to the Growth Services.
- Evolve the concept of the Speed Master into corporate accelerator programmes.
- Expand the EIT Digital equity portfolio through the Open Innovation Factory programme.
- Engage with Regions to deliver high level corporate and startup participants to the Open Innovation Factory.
- Actively engage and involve corporates in all acceleration and open innovation programmes.
- Show a clear path to profitability for all acceleration and open innovation programmes.
- Bring EIT Digital's acceleration and open innovation programme to be recognised as the flagship programmes for deep tech scaleups in the digital space in Europe.
- Proven track record in leadership position startup/scaleup accelerator.
- Proven track record in corporate engagement and open innovation programmes.
- Handson experience in fund raising for startups/scaleups.
- Experience in managing geographically distributed teams and driving them to delivery and success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education in both technology and business as masters level (STEM MSc and Business Development).
