The role, at a glance:


The Service Technician determines the source(s) of failure on sold product deemed defective by Applications Engineering and is responsible for the repair by replacing components or boards and performing functional testing.

This person communicates with customers as needed for non-warranty repairs, part information requests, and parts orders.

How you'll contribute:

  • Communicate to customers regarding repair estimates, repair status, and clarifying failures.
  • Troubleshoot digital and analog circuits down to the component level and performs, or specifies, the needed repairs and/or rework.
  • Remove and replace some types of PCBA components to IPC standards.
  • Visually inspect product for functional and cosmetic defects.
  • Perform involved testing of PCBAs and complete units per established processes.
  • Complete repair notes in CRM service and support system.
  • Complete material movement and traceability transactions in ERP system.
  • Write up part orders in a timely manner.
  • Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Train others in troubleshooting PCBAs, and other job activities.
  • Adheres to ESD practices as required throughout the factory.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects as appropriate.
  • Other assigned duties supporting product quality or production.
  • Associates Degree in electronics or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of related experience in an electronics manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of digital and analog audio electronics.
  • Ability to read and effectively use schematics for troubleshooting purposes, and perform testing of assemblies per established processes.
  • Proficient with basic electronic test and repair equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, sweep generator, power supplies, soldering iron, etc.).
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible in a dynamic work environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Capable of working autonomously while supporting team goals and objectives.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Use tools that require fine hand skills.
  • Ability to distinguish colors.
  • Visually observe and differentiate small moving parts.
  • Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areas.

Pay:
€3, €3,670.33 per month
