Quality Manager
As a Quality Manager at Tom&co, you are responsible for managing quality within the company. You ensure compliance with good hygiene practices and quality procedures in our stores.
You actively participate in the development of private label products and support the purchasing department in these developments, proposing improvements for product quality.
You are also the point of contact for the AFSCA and manage product recall procedures. Additionally, you conduct supplier audits and establish an analysis plan with an external laboratory.You follow up on quality complaints from stores and end customers, and collaborate with colleagues from the purchasing, sales, and animal welfare departments in a continuous improvement process.
You are assisted by a food/non-food technologist and manage eco-taxes in Belgium (Fost Plus) and France (Citeo).Responsibilities
- Quality management and compliance with good hygiene practices in stores.
- Participation in the development of private label products and support for the purchasing department.
- Proposals for product quality improvements.
- Point of contact for the AFSCA and management of product recall procedures.
- Supplier audits and analysis plan with an external laboratory.
- Followup on quality complaints from stores and end customers.
- Collaboration with the purchasing, sales, and animal welfare departments.
- Management of ecotaxes (Fost Plus in Belgium and Citeo in France).
Desired Profile
- Expertise in quality systems, HACCP, crisis management, and supplier audits.
- Knowledge of animal welfare, European legislation (animal feed, REACH, labeling, biocides, zoonoses), pet food and nonfood products.
- Understanding of product life cycles and the retail sector, with an interest in sustainability.
- Communication skills (French and Dutch, English desired).
- More than 5 years of experience in a similar role, with proficiency in the Office suite.
- Autonomous, meticulous, good communicator, team player, decisionmaker, stressresistant, and affinity for pets.
