As a SharePoint Administrator - PaaS, you will:

• Act as a subject matter expert for Web Hosting Services, managing and implementing changes to all underlying technical services.
  
• Install, configure, upgrade, migrate, and maintain large SharePoint web platform systems.
  
• Liaise with customers to identify required changes to the business functions of Web Hosting services and implement changes within agreed timeframes.
  
• Provide L3 support to PLT003 Webhosting Service and undertake fault finding as dictated by the sections trouble ticket system.
  
• Undertake activities lifecycle management of Web Platforms as directed by the PLT003 Service Delivery manager.
  
• Analyze, implement, and update processes to ensure NISC goals are met.
  
• Perform daily work on the system to ensure platform stability and backend consistency.
  
• Possess strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  
• Experience in deploying Web Platforms on public clouds such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  
  

What You Bring to the Table:

• Proficient in all aspects of SharePoint administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  
• Ability to manage and optimize the SharePoint farm infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network components.
  
• Knowledge of SharePoint security best practices, including user permissions, authentication, and data encryption.
  
• Experience in implementing and managing robust backup and recovery strategies for SharePoint environments.
  
• Skill in monitoring and optimizing the performance of SharePoint farms to ensure optimal user experience.
  
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automating routine tasks and configurations in SharePoint.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
  
• Familiarity with other collaboration tools and technologies that integrate with SharePoint, such as Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
  
• Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SharePoint farm configurations, processes, and procedures.
  
• Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders, provide training, and create user guides.
  

You should possess the ability to:

• In-depth understanding of SharePoint architecture, including web applications, service applications, and the underlying database structure.
  
• Knowledge of different versions of SharePoint, with a focus on the latest releases and updates.
  
• Understanding of how SharePoint integrates with other Microsoft products, such as Exchange, Active Directory, and SQL Server.
  
• Awareness of compliance and governance requirements related to data stored in SharePoint, including industry-specific regulations.
  
• Knowledge of patch management for SharePoint, including the timely application of updates and service packs.
  
• Understanding of user experience principles.
  
• Familiarity with monitoring tools to track the health and performance of the SharePoint farm.
