In this role you will be the Strategic Insight Business Partner to the Head of Global Commercial Strategy (GCS), working across GSK Vaccines' strong portfolio of pipeline assets.


You will define and drive the development and execution of market insights that will ensure that key evidence/deliverables are available to support decision-making stage gates aligned to GSK's commercialization process (Integrated Asset Planning framework).


You will support or be accountable for early forecast valuations and the development of the associated story/narrative for early forecast stage gates, leveraging market insights.


You will define and direct the activities of others (agencies, contractors) as relevant/appropriate and also work with data and analytics partners to identify the right data and research approaches.

An understanding of vaccines-relevant data sets will be important.

You will also be asked to evaluate how we can build and deploy new processes and/or advanced methodologies to drive rigor, efficiency or value in the way we execute key evidence for early asset stage gates.


You will provide perspectives to the Head of Global Commercial Strategy and various R&D or Commercial teams across a broad range of areas including analysis of market drivers, vaccination trends, and HCP and Consumer attitudes and behaviors.

You will lead market research both in the US and other key countries and work closely with those regional teams to ensure any research reflects the local market.

You will be connected to the Competitive Intelligence group to align on the impact of the competitive landscape on our ability to create the most competitive target product profiles.


Key Responsibilities
Describe the key deliverables to be achieved by the post holder and the ongoing responsibilities of the role

Partner - Act as Strategic Partner to the Global Commercial Strategy team on all relevant insight and analytics areas outlined above and bring objective, independent thinking. Partner closely with other key GSK stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and local country teams

Data:

  • Drive the synthesis of internal and external data relevant to early assets to ensure global strategies are underpinned by data, evidence, and insight
    Forecasts
  • Support or lead the development of evidencebased sales forecasts and the creation of supporting stories for key stage gate/governance forums

I&A process/innovation - Based on IAP/early asset requirements - develop processes/vendor relationships/partnerships to ensure efficient, robust provision of all relevant deliverable evidence

I&A deliverables - Ensure all evidence is available in the right quality at the right time - including everything from light touch desk research to more complex methodologies

Market dynamics - Understand current and emerging trends and synthesize their importance for the development our assets

Targeting and segmentation - For later stage assets, advise on T&S, utilizing existing work done across other relevant brands/disease areas

Testing - Define frameworks for testing materials with key external stakeholders, utilizing agile methods as a preference

Advanced Analytics - Understand and evaluate the utility of advanced methods/analytics in the support of early asset requirements

Team - Work as a partner of the Global Commercial team, but also be an active and present member of the Vaccines Global Strategic Insights team - bringing experience and ideas to the table and taking relevant ideas/innovation back to the Global Commercial team

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical (medical or marketing background), management consultancy or financial institution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough conceptual understanding of the drug development and commercialization process
  • Experienced in a global matrix environment with ability to drive impact across a range of functions, seniority, and geographical locations
  • Ability to lead and take ownership of the delivery of projects from end to end
  • Experience working with individuals in multiple countries, including working with them to obtain appropriate countrylevel information and insight
