Software Solution Architect:
Your mission:
Brainsquare is looking for an innovative Solution Architect to develop and implement systems architecture that will meet business needs of our client in the Antwerp region.
Your responsibilities include gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place in order to identify areas in need of improvement, and steering development teams.
You should also be able to regularly update all stakeholders in the company on any developments in systems architecture projects.
To be successful as a Solution Architect, you should be able to integrate any updated specifications and requirements into the systems architecture.
An outstanding Solution Architect should be able to explain complex problems and concepts in simple language that anyone in the company can understand.
Your main tasks:
Specifically, as a Software Solution Architect, your tasks will include:
- Building and integrating information systems to meet the company's needs.
- Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical teams to recommend solutions to improve it.
- Resolving technical issues as they arise.
- Providing supervision and guidance to development teams.
- Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
- Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
- Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.
- Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
What we are looking for in you:
This is a further list of the experience that we consider important for a Solution Architect:
- Bachelor or master's degree in IT or equivalent experience (experience is more important than education Certification is a plus).
- Proven experience in software engineering and architecture.
- Good understanding of Domain Driven Design.
- Indepth understanding of coding languages.
- Previous Solution Architecture experience is advantageous.
- You have experience in an enterprise environment, preferably in a large international company.
- Strong coaching and communication skills.
- Like taking initiative in both new opportunities as well as critical requests.
- Be able to deal with pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
- You don't mind working with people in different time zones.
