Lab Manager Sustainable Chemistry

Binnen de Unit Scheidings
- en Conversietechnologie (SCT) werken meer dan 150 gedreven medewerkers aan technologieën voor verduurzaming binnen de chemische sector. Het onderzoeksprogramma is erop gericht om de huidige chemische processen te transformeren en intensifiëren. Ook zetten we in op de vervanging van fossiele grondstoffen door grondstoffen op basis van biomassa, CO2 en neven
- of afvalstromen. Om ons groeiende portfolio van innovatief technologie-onderzoek in goede banen te leiden, zoeken we een 'lab manager'
**FUNCTIE**:
- Je bent verantwoordelijk voor een groep van technici, alsook het engineeringsteam binnen de unit SCT, en zorgt ervoor dat de technische operaties van het onderzoek gestroomlijnd verlopen.
- Je stuurt de medewerkers aan en begeleidt hen, om bij te dragen tot hun optimale inzet in een motiverende werksfeer. Cruciaal daarbij is het opmaken van een duidelijke planning om de veelheid aan projecten met hun deadlines en budgetten te behappen.
- Je rapporteert aan de unitmanager als lid van het managementteam. Je stemt regelmatig de noden en voortgang af met de projectenmanager(s) binnen de technologieteams van de unit. Je maakt ook jaarlijks mee de begroting op, met focus op de investeringen en volgt deze op.
- Je doet voorstel voor, toetst af en implementeert de strategie voor de investeringen in de onderzoeksinfrastructuur. Je beheert en vernieuwt de onderhoudscontracten voor deze infrastructuur Daartoe beschik je over een gedegen kennis van de state-of-art en verwachte ontwikkelingen van de technologieën in onze kerndomeinen. Je bepaalt welk technisch werk we zelf doen, en wat beter kan worden uitbesteed.
- Je zorgt ervoor dat de juiste technische competenties worden opgebouwd, en dat de nodige training en vorming wordt voorzien.
- Je hebt een volledig overzicht van alle beschikbare laboruimtes en optimaliseert de toewijzing en gebruik van deze ruimtes binnen de Unit SCT.
- Je staat mee in voor het milieu-, veiligheids
- en kwaliteitsgebeuren binnen de unit, zowel qua beleidslijnen als qua operationele borging.
- Je bouwt een netwerk uit met de interne en de externe leveranciers en klanten.
- Je hebt een Masterdiploma in een relevant technologisch domein.
- Je hebt tijdens je loopbaan bewezen over people
- en projectmanagement capaciteiten (financieel, planning) te beschikken.
- Je bent vertrouwd met een experimentele labo-omgeving met de daarbij behorende ISO-richtlijnen op gebied van veiligheid, kwaliteit en milieu.
- Je hebt ervaring in ontwikkeling en/of samenbouw van apparatuur en opstellingen voor het uitvoeren van (bio/elektro-) chemische experimenten. Daarnaast heb je ook ervaring om (delen van) engineering en constructie uit te besteden. Vertrouwd zijn met voorbereiden van CE conformiteitsverklaringen is een plus.
