The European School of Mol is recruiting: 1 class assistant English speaking section**
Responsibilities:
- To assist to a pupil of the secondary cycle with special educational needs during his/her presence at school
- To assist the teachers during lessons and breaks
- To supervise the ISApupil during the complete school day
- To work in collaboration and close communication with the class teacher
- To communicate with the class teacher on the educational improvements
- The use of prescribed strategies (by the responsible support teaching staff) in a variety of settings and to respond to the pupils' support needs and behaviour and to support the pupil's academic and social development skills
- Making adaptations for the cognitive and physical and socialemotional needs of the pupils
- Facilitating language and literacy development
- Structuring and supporting the learning environment
- Using communication techniques and educational measures adapted to the pupils' abilities
- Collection of data and monitoring of pupils' progress and interaction with the families, therapists and external experts.
Profile and requirements:
- Language knowledge: good knowledge of English
- Experience (minimum 2 years) of working with children with a variety of learning/developmental needs
- Secondary school degree or higher
- Training in special educational needs
Selection Procedure:
- Only CVs in Europass format (in English) can be considered
- Diplomas obtained outside the EU must undergo homologation, e.g. via NARIC Vlaanderen
- Shortlisting based on diplomas, resume and motivation letter
- Interview with the selection committee
