The Client, in partnership with other Commission services and stakeholders, provides high-quality corporate solutions/information systems for the Research and Innovation Family, enabling the successful implementation of the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies.
In close collaboration with other Commission services and its customers, the Client builds and operates solutions in the areas of grants, experts, and procurement management.
In order to support the development and improvement of the eGrants information systems, the Commission wishes to procure the services of an
Enterprise Architect (EA).
DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS
The following tasks will be performed:
- Create business architecture models that reflect the organization's strategies and goals
- Integrate the project and program strategies and ensure alignment with business strategies and drivers, and management priorities
- Identify ways to reduce costs in IT and business leadership
- Evaluate systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities
- Conduct research to find ways to improve operations
- Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance
- Create and implement a business vision and multiyear plan
- Manage the implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality
- Coordination of the implementation of the business requirements
- Definition and analysis of the business requirements
- Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and track activities against the plan
- Participation in functional working groups, progress meetings, and meetings with the users
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
The minimum educational qualification is the level of education corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a
master's degree of 5 years
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The following skills and knowledge are
required for the performance of the above-listed tasks:
- Knowledge of
enterprise architecture frameworks such as
TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman, and actual experience
developing and building models based on such framework - Knowledge of enterprise architecture notations such as
BPMN: - Knowledge of enterprise architecture tools such as
ARIS: - Experience in
business analysis: - Good knowledge of
project management standards and methodologies: - Usage of
project management tools: - Good knowledge of
business process analysis: - Good knowledge of
Service Oriented Architecture: - The capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid selfstarting capability, and experience in working in a team
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment, on multiple large projects
- Excellent Team Player
- Ability to understand, speak and write English C1
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
