Job Purpose:


This job is created to put in place a smart labworplace management with a centralized labworkplace performance measure, KPIs and cost metrics with the aim of maximising the usage, and the availability of QC analytical equipment.

This manager will put in place and manage in the day to day a tool/ data base (e.g Archibus) of all QC analytical equipment, utilities (e.g gas) & connectivity (e.g OT connectivity).

This tool will allow us to monitor trends and improve equipment management behaviour.

He/ She is not only responsible to gather data but also analyses data and put in place appropriate Key Performance Indicators relevant for the business.


By analysing data, he/ she will contribute to strategic decision for equipment purchase with key information such as number of equipment available, usage rate, availability rate.


This person will need to build relationships within QC organisation and also with our service partners (Global Engineering, BeEM and EHS) as he/ she will be the Single Point of Contact for all questions related to QC labworplace.


In this role you will:

Ensure Smart Labworplace management:
Act as the technical representative for the QC

As such:

  • Conduct the necessary (regular) technical assessment (technical audits, risk assessments, gemba, ) to collect data and to create an objective and comprehensive view on all the physical assets in QC
  • Leverage and connect these data to map current state against expected performance and/or desired future state and propose ways to either tackle critical situations or grasp opportunities
  • In this frame, organize and monitor performance indicators and take remedial actions when required.
  • Make sure that cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), EHS procedures, Engineering and Maintenance standards and recommendations from the authorities are respected.
  • Help build the related business cases and propose a plan (roadmap) to key stakeholders while delivering quick wins in an autonomous manner.
  • Together with the Senior Asset Manager and QC innovation senior manager, contribute to the vision and deploy the strategy for lab infrastructure (including smart lab strategy) to ensure both short
- and long-term needs

Lead Small business project (SMR)

  • Manage yearly Capex SMR budget, allocate the budget depending on the yearly targets while enabling the derisking of facilities against current pain points for each project triggered by user needs:
  • Lead the organization of users' need collection and related URB definition and therefore act as an interface between users and engineering services in all steps of the project (basic design, detailed design, commissioning and qualification)
  • Deliver SMR projects ontime, infull and within budget either autonomously or in partnership with BeEM, QC, EHS, Quality departments, while ensuring the compliance to EHS and quality requirements and customer specifications

_Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's degree in Engineering and scientific in biotechnology
  • Interaction with a wide range of stakeholders on a transversal level.
  • Ability to establish strong working relationship with key partners
  • Minimum 5 years of operational engineering experience in the management of complex facilities support services to a large office or pharmaceutical facility
  • Fluent in French with a good level of English
