To reinforce our Benelux Reinsurance Department, Allianz is currently looking for a dynamic and proactive Reinsurance Operations & Accounting Specialist. You have a first experience in Insurance, Reinsurance, Coinsurance and/or Accounting? You describe yourself as pragmatic with a can-do mentality? You are ready for your next challenge?


As Reinsurance Operations & Accounting Specialist you are responsible for the establishment of different accounts under different standards (Local GAAP and IFRS).

You plan an active role in the permanent improvement of our processes and implementation of it.

We count on you for the following tasks:

  • Ensure accurate booking and reporting of all accounting items related to treaty and facultative reinsurance transactions.
  • Manage and update Reinsurance Accounting Management Tool (IT Structure) for our reinsurance activities.
  • Ensure the correct establishment of reinsurance technical and financial accounts and timely reporting to maintain reinsurer relationships.
  • Put in place the necessary controls in collaboration with General Accounting Department.
  • Liaise and collaborate with Claims Department and critically analyze insurance claims and reinsurance reporting thresholds and attachment points to ensure effectiveness of the reinsurance programs.
  • Establish treaty statistics and triangulations to contribute actively in the reinsurance renewal process.
  • Manage and Control the monthly/quarterly statements of the company accounts and established accounting and consolidation inventories.
  • Further develop the monitoring of our working methods and tools.
  • Establish and monitor budgets and forecast of reserves.

What will you bring to the table?
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Finance or Accounting? Check You have a first experience in Reinsurance or Coinsurance? Check Knowledge of Local GAAP and IFRS (17) standards are a plus You are fluent in English with a good knowledge of French or Dutch? Check You work easily with Excel and Access? Check A first experience with SAS is considered a plus You describe yourself as proactive, with strong communication skills and good business ethics?
