In the context of the RIZIV convention on financing psychological functions in primary care, Thuiszorg Familiezorg is hiring a psychologist/orthopedagogue. Currently, Thuiszorg Familiezorg has a job opening for the Roeselare-Ieper area.

Job Description

  • Providing brief and/or low-intensity psychological interventions that contribute to the overall mental well-being of individuals with mild to moderate psychological issues, including children and young people / adults and the elderly. Specific target groups include: individuals with chronic somatic problems (comorbidity), young adults with depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse, the elderly especially elderly living alone, individuals with dementia, individuals with intellectual disabilities and additional mental health problems, perinatal care; postpartum period; pregnant women with a high prevalence of depressive symptoms and anxiety disorders, caregivers including a focus on young caregivers, individuals living in poverty, self-employed individuals, particularly farmers mainly within the ELZ Westhoek region, individuals with a migration background.
  • You will focus on the following tasks: assessing existing problems and clarifying the clients' needs, guided self-help, psycho-education, promoting the self-reliance and resilience of the client or their family context, supporting primary care actors around the client, referring to specialized care and/or other support organizations and/or patient and family associations.
  • Where and how? through individual sessions and/or group sessions, at the client's home and/or with their caregiver, at one of the Thuiszorg Familiezorg regional offices, on-site with an external partner we collaborate with, after one or more home visits via phone or video contact.

Your Qualifications

  • Hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Orthopedagogy.
  • Have a license and recognition number.
  • Be able to approach people with warm and close attention.
  • Enjoy working independently while seeking the spirit and dynamics of an experienced team.
  • Enjoy working with individuals and groups.
  • Be eager to learn.
  • Be able to travel easily within a wide area and be willing to conduct consultations at people's homes.
  • If you have specific expertise in perinatal care/postpartum care, children and young people, or individuals with dementia and their caregivers, you may also be involved in a more specialized role.
