YOUR TASKS

  • You also support the development of innovative educational methods for facilitating distance learning, the further development of nonclinical roles for master's educated nurses and midwives (research and implementation), and the international dimension of the program.
  • Additionally, you also provide assistance to initiatives related to lifelong learning and educational activities with the field and alumni.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You hold a degree of Master in nursing and midwifery or an equivalent qualification. The degree requirement needs to be fulfilled at the start of your appointment.
  • For diplomas awarded outside the European Union, a certificate of equivalence (NARIC) must be submitted.
  • You have knowledge of and are familiar with the broad field of master's educated nurses and midwives (in relation to internships and the development of nonclinical roles for master's educated nurses and midwives).
  • You have expertise in developing and using innovative teaching and educational methods, such as blended learning and digital learning environments.
  • Experience in teaching in nursing science is advantageous.
  • You engage in other professional activities and/or have demonstrable experience that can contribute to the quality of practical education.
  • You have an interest in teaching in the mentioned field.
  • You have an interest in scientific and/or projectbased research and service.
  • Teaching experience and participation in further education, conferences, etc., are recommended.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • We offer you a 1 year appointment, which may be renewed indefinitely for five years at a time

Attention:

You cannot be appointed for a cumulative percentage of more than 30% as a Teaching Assistant at Ghent University.


  • Your appointment will start on 1 February 2024 at the earliest.
  • Your remuneration will be determined according to salary scale AAP3. More information about our salary scales
