In order to strengthen its business development team, VO Europe is currently recruiting a Bid Manager to contribute to the efficient running of business development with European institutions.


Role
As a Bid Manager, you are responsible for delivering proposals for medium, large and complex tenders.


You are responsible for developing the content for tenders from qualification to contract award, including value proposition/strategy development, solution development, commercial strategies, partner identification and risk management.


You manage a bid as a project, are responsible for the quality of the commercial proposal and coordinate various contributions for internal and external teams.


Your objective is to produce a winning proposal under the supervision of the Strategic Business Development Manager and leading the bid team.


Responsibilities

  • Form and lead the bid team and coordinate all resources to produce the proposal within time and budget.
  • Form the potential consortia with the support of the Strategic Business Development Manager and ensure a sound administrative followup
  • Prepare the bid plan and ensure that all aspects (administrative side, methodologies, narrative ) are covered
  • Develop the best strategic approach in line with the key requirements of the call for tenders
  • Contribute to the written proposal in terms of contributions, direct content and presentation
  • Ensure the proposal is compliant from a commercial, legal, and administrative perspective including respect for deadlines and budget
  • Ensure the information and documentation management as well as sharing knowledge process inside the agency
  • Monitor the EU market, identifying market competitors, their strengths and understand their approach

Required profile

  • 3 to 5 years of experience working in a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of EU institutions, EU procurement practices/rules, working process and policies
  • English: fluent (at least C1) with a strong ability in written commercial style
  • Decision maker
  • Ability to think out of the box and solution
