Sales, Hospitality Overview
Hotels are at the forefront in a world where digital and physical experiences are coming together.

Planet is excited about helping hotels help their staff and customers towards frictionless processes and experiences, with payment right in the middle.


Our Sales Hospitality team comprises 150 employees globally and with the acquisition of Protel PMS, Hoist groups as well as Avantio, we are just getting started to provide a real feel-good, connected experience at the world's most well-known hotels.

Role Overview

Focused on collaboration with Hoteliers, you will be passionate about working in the hospitality/hotel/travel/payment industry and thrive as part of our dynamic team that operates on a personal level with our customers.


A fully home-based role in Belgium, this role focuses on consulting the hospitality industry with products and services to customers and potentials in the Benelux region.

The Business Development Manager is an enthusiastic, experienced, knowledgeable, and consultative professional who will sell and develop programs to deepen relationships with our merchants and create new value propositions that deliver growth.

Working from home, you will have extensive freedom to balance family and work life.

Our monthly team face2face meeting allows us to work as a team and share our experiences on how to assist our hoteliers with the best possible solutions.

What you will do
Sell new products and services to new and existing customers in the Hospitality industry.
Understand merchants' business needs and define success criteria as relevant to their unique business dynamics.
Demonstrates client focus by building effective relationships with key executives and decision-makers, identifying, meeting, and exceeding their expectations.
Demonstrates knowledge of the client's business and competitive landscape, and proposes solutions translating their needs into business opportunities.
Resolves account issues through escalation or delegation to appropriate management and/or technical support teams.
Closely monitors competition trends/moves and utilizes this information to produce effective sales plans and forecasts.
Partner with internal and external teams to enroll merchants in growth initiatives.
Break targets and pipelines into doable actions and set timeframes to deliver them in the CRM Salesforce.

Conduct deep dive analysis on issues affecting the merchant's business performance and establish a periodic business review with the merchant that addresses key business issues.

Scout for new businesses, and create and maintain productive partnerships.
Analyse portfolio trends, diagnose the root cause of performance, and create actionable plans for operational improvements.
Deliver marketing engagements with merchants.
Report on portfolio status and performance to make portfolio value visible to internal stakeholders.
Collect all the elements for AML/KYC for the onboarding customer process.
Who you are
Preferably a solid (hunter) sales background (minimum of 2 years).
Travel / Hospitality / Hotel / Payment Knowledge or Background is a preference.
Successful in managing (dynamic) account portfolios and high-level strategic thinking.
Very self-motivated, team-focused, and well-organised with an outgoing and pleasant personality.
