The primary responsibility of Bid Managers is to manage in-country bids from the time that a sales opportunity is qualified (assessed as a desirable deal for NTT to pursue) to the time that we contract it and hand it over to our delivery teams.
The NTT Bid Process (part of the NTT Sales Engagement Process) spans this entire spectrum of activity and responsibility.
The Bid Manager ensures effective and efficient development of a compelling value proposition to the client that significantly increases our chance of winning business, allows us to deliver to our client's needs and expectations, and at a profit to NTT and its partners.
The Bid Manager applies sound project management principles and expertise, including managing resources, timeframes, risk, quality and governance. As risk management remains imperative, the Bid Manager handles critical risks and mitigations appropriately. They utilise business systems and tools at a high level of proficiency.What you'll be doing
  • Work with the Sales lead to develop a clear winning strategy for each bid and ensure win themes are clear and compelling
  • Ensure the effective and efficient development of a compelling value proposition that will meet the client's needs and expectations
  • Manage the in-country bid process from the time of sales qualification until you hand it over to the delivery team for fulfilment
  • Apply project management principles and expertise to manage the bid process effectively and efficiently whilst mitigating risk
  • Manage the bid budget and monitor and report on overall performance against KPIs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Facilitate the sourcing of general bid collateral and facilitate the delivery of all client-facing deliverables
  • Contribute to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation
  • Drive continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews, both internally and with customers
What will make you a good fit for the role?Behavioural skills The ability to facilitate effectively is a crucial requirement of the job, as is the attention to detail and quality. Sound business acumen, market awareness and a conceptual grasp of technology, commercials and services are required. The Bid Manager is an inspirational communicator with the ability to engage with internal and external audiences. They are required to display a high level of innovation and initiative. They have excellent verbal and written communication skills. They are persuasive and influential and use their leadership skills to improve the bid management process. Required Work Experience
  • 5 - 7 year's work experience,
  • At least 2 years' experience in Bid Management, Project Management and Sales Support
  • Dutch or French as mother tongue and good verbal and written knowledge of the other language as well as English
